Mountain Bikes

Mountain bikes can be split into two types, hardtail and full-suspension. Hardtails only have suspension at the front, in the forks, whereas full-suspension also have a rear shock, for more technical riding.

Trek’s hardtails have two frame ranges – Marlin and Procaliber. The Marlin is a great starting point for finding out what mountain biking is all about, and for getting out and exploring the hills. The Procaliber is a fast, nimble cross-country bike, for riders that favour fast miles over steep and technical riding.

Progressing to full-suspension, with increasing amount of travel we’ve got the Trek Supercaliber, Top Fuel, and Fuel EX options. The Fuel EX is our most popular option for all-round trail riding, and is available as a demo bike. It’s really important to test ride a full-suspension before buying, so call by the shop, check out the options, and get your test ride booked.
