It’s coming up to fifteen years since we first opened our doors in Dorking, and ten years since we knocked through into next door, so it’s time for another change – we’ve moved out of next door, and built an extension in our original space to accommodate a bigger workshop.
With the emphasis of the shop moving more and more towards bikes and workshop (rather than clothing and accessories), this increase in workshop capacity should see us reducing our waiting time for a slot in the workshop, and the new compact and cosy layout of our shop floor should make our bikes easier to look at. Beyond that everything else should hopefully feel the same – we hope you like it!
More importantly though, we’ve also changed our opening times – during the week we’ll be opening 10am rather than 9am, and Wednesdays will be appointment only. As with the change in premises, this is in response to the shift in focus towards bikes and workshop. The time with the shutters closed will allow us to keep organised in the workshop, and we can arrange appointments on Wednesdays if you want an extended period of time and help choosing a new bike.
We’ll still be here from 9am every day and throughout the day on Wednesdays, so if you need to drop off or collect a bike before work, or need something urgently, we’ll always open the door to you, just knock! Here’s a summary of our new times…
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri – 10am-6pm
Wed – appointment only
Sat – 9am-6pm
Sun – closed
And even more importantly, to mark our next chapter, we’ve got a whizzy new logo and smart new uniforms – we hope you like them too!
Reflecting on the last fifteen years in shop, obviously none have been as strange as this one. Bike shops were fortunate to be allowed to stay open and are one of the few sectors that haven’t been negatively impacted by the lockdown, for which we’re grateful rather than jubilant, and for which we are reminded to again say thank you to everyone that shopped with us and kept us open, this year and in the preceding fifteen. We hope you like the changes we’ve made, and look forward to the next fifteen years and beyond.
