To clean the bike after your ride, the Finish Line Super Bike Wash is a great all-over cleaner. Keep hold of the bottle when it’s finished, and buy the more economical concentrate to refill. For more stubborn gunk on the chain and other drive parts, get stuck in with the Citrus Degreaser first, and use the residue-free Speed Cleaner on disc brake rotors.
To make the cleaning job easier, invest in a Finish Line Brush Kit, and a Park Tool Chain Scrubber, filled with Citrus Degreaser, to get the chain spotless. The cleaner the bike, the better it will run and longer the parts will last, so it’s worth the time and investment.
Once the bike is clean, give all the moving parts (except the brakes) a spray over with GT85, then get the chain lubed with Finish Line Chain Lube. Use a dry lube in dry conditions to reduce dust sticking to the chain, a wet lube in wet conditions to keep it on the chain longer.
The ceramic chain lubes will keep the chain running more smoothly and worth the upgrade for more serious riding – use max cleanliness in dry conditions, max durability in wet.
