19/11/10: Watched and Rated - Life Cycles Premiere
|

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the London premiere of the long awaited movie Life Cycles. This film has been near four years in production and from the outset, promised to deliver a new style of mountain bike movie. It certainly did not disappoint. The premise of the film is to follow the evolution of a bicycle through the eyes of the narrator, and as such, gives an entirely different style of film to anything else in the market to date. Life Cycles focuses on photography and image, and utilises cutting edge filming techniques along with some truly original angles and set-ups. Although there is a lot less actual riding than other films, the audience is never left wanting as the style of the film keeps you absorbed from start to finish. So much so that I wanted to watch it again straight away. A whole host of well known riders are involved, but again, are only introduced at the start of the movie, so the focus is on the film and not your favourite rider’s segment. Even if you don't like watching bike films, I would recommend Life Cycles to anyone, even non-bikers, as it will appeal to so many people on so many different levels. We will have Life Cycles in stock next week, so drop by and pick up your copy, grab some popcorn, and settle back for an evening's entertainment. Rog Warning: You will want to go for a ride after watching…. |
