Welcome to Head For The Hills from Dan, Sarah, Roger, Dave and Ferg! We're all mountain bikers that live and ride around Dorking, and together we run Surrey's finest and friendliest mountain bike shop.

We try to run Head For The Hills as the type of place we'd want to shop in. Somewhere with a good range of bikes, clothing and accessories for every budget. Somewhere that makes us feel welcome when we come in, and will give us informed and honest advice about what we want to buy, whether it's a top of range bike of a lifetime, or a humble inner tube. And somewhere with a friendly atmosphere that's fun to shop in.

Something For Everyone

If you're looking for something new to do and fancy trying mountain biking, then we'll give you sensible advice on the perfect bike for your needs and your budget, without patronising you or intimidating you with bike-jargon . And if you're a a progressing rider looking to upgrade your kit, we'll give you all the advice and ideas you'll need to prioritise your budget and make your riding more enjoyable. And if your an expert rider, and know exactly what you want, then we'll get it for you and won't try and convince you to buy something else!  

In The Heart Of The Action

Dorking is right in the middle of the best mountain biking in the South East. Sitting in between the North Downs and the Greensands, there are hills in every direction (and even one mountain!), and with huge areas of woodland, there are literally hundreds of trails, from wide, gentle forestry tracks ideal for beginners, to tight, twisty singletrack for the experts. If you're new to the area, then we've got a selection of Ordnance Survey maps and other route guides, and we'll give you plenty of help to plan a route to meet your needs.

More Than Just A Shop Though

As well as everything you need to keep you and your bike running smoothly on the trails, you can also chill out after your ride or meet up with other riders in our very own garden, kitted out with benches, a bike wash and even a beanbag. So grab a coffee, and make yourself at home.
