Trek
Stache 19 Apr 13
The
Stache is Trek's new 29er hardtail. It's aimed at the more technical side
of trail riding than their current hardtail range, so longer travel forks
(120mm), shorter top tube, and slacker head angle. It also comes with all
the mod-cons you'd expect on this sort of bike - thru-axles front and
rear, internal dropper post cable routing, and chain guides tabs. There
are two models in the range, the £1800 Stache 8, and the very pretty
copper coloured £1300 Stache 7, which is one display in the shop. There's more on Trek's
website
about them here, if that looks good to you, call by the shop to swing a leg
over one.

Endura
Summer Clothing in stock 5
Apr 13
In
a fit of optimism, our summer clothing is now on display upstairs. Whilst
it felt a little perverse packing away jackets and hanging up shorts and
short-sleeve shirts with the snow falling outside, rest assured that when
the weather does sort itself out, you can get straight down to the shop,
get kitted out, and ride off into the sunshine. Can't be long now?

Ibis
Ripley Is Coming 28
Mar 13
Here's
a bike that we're really looking forward to riding, Ibis' new 29er
full-suspension bike, the Ripley. Rather than just taking a Mojo and
sticking some big wheels in, they've developed a completely new linkage
system specifically for the bike. The frame comes in two colours, blue
with black trim, and black with green trim. Our blue test bike will be
here soon, and we've got a black frame coming too, can't wait. Read on here
for all the technical low down, and lots more pics.

Fizik
Test Centre - are you sitting comfortably? 9
Mar 13
Nothing
can stop you enjoying your ride more than an uncomfortable saddle, so
we've just signed up to be a test centre for Fizik saddles. Fizik do three
different saddle shapes, based around their Spine Concept system, with a
different shape depending on your flexibility - flat and narrow for
flexible snakes, waved and wide for rigid bulls, flat and wide for in
between chameleons. In each of the three shapes there is a version with
and without an central channel, so six different saddles in all to choose
from, and by being able to test them all first, you can make sure you end
up sitting on the one that's comfortable for you.
To
compliment their lovely saddles, we've also got the full range of Fizik
bar tape in the shop, which now comes in two thicknesses, and a new tacky
version - with the bar tape wheel of fortune to make it easy for you to
choose the right one for you.
Call
by the shop to get saddle testing and find out if you're a snake,
chameleon, or bull, and to give the wheel of fortune a spin.
